Manolo Blahnik's first women's shoe was designed in 1971. Since then Blahnik has gone on to become one of the worlds most influencial footwear designers.

All of the Blahnik shoes are beautifully crafted and embellished with lace, ribbons, or beads, and he has designed shoes specifically for movies and other productions. Manolo Blahnik was bestowed with the title of Commander of the British Empire during the 2007 Queen’s Birthday Honors List for all his work and contributions in the country’s fashion industry.
