Lots of Love for Alexander McQueen’s Love Last Suede Peep-Toe Pumps

Alexander Mcqueen Love Last Pumps

In my humble opinion, the late, great Alexander McQueen was a designer for the ages, one of the best of several generations. Alexander McQueen shoes just prove that point, and I especially love this pair: the Love Last Suede Peep-Toe Pumps. They evoke not just McQueen's aesthetic, but his entire design philosophy. He was all about empowering women, about making his clothes and his shoes incorporate a woman's confidence and her delicacy, her strength and her fragility, her sensuality and her softer femininity.

Shoes with heart designs like these pumps can get kitchsy very easily. If a designer isn't careful, they can look far too cutesy, and they can become a mockery on your feet instead of a true style. That definitely is not a worry here, where Alexander McQueen has successfully coupled a sense of whimsy with an elegant and edgy kind of style.

Black pumps are timeless – but it is easy for them to be overdone. We have all seen them before, you know? With Alexander McQueen shoes, however, timelessness always mixes with innovation. Here, the heart design on the precious little peep-toe makes for something new and original without being too girlish. These shoes are feminine but not too young. You could be eighteen or forty eight and still wear these with confidence.

They feature a hidden platform, three quarters of inch thick. The heels themselves are about four inches high. The leather is a gorgeous, luxurious Italian suede, and the shoes have a leather lining as well as padding on the insole.
